CANON COPIER KIT The Canon copier kit offers support for the flash roms used in many Canon copiers. The kit offers two adapters depending on the machines you support. The ACDM72A adapter allows you to work with the most recent machines, including the Image Runner, while the AC8B72 adds support earlier generations of Canon flash roms. Regardless of whether you need one or both adapters, the Canon kit allows you to perform any operation you choose on these unique parts including: 1.) You may take a corrupt flash rom, erase it and then reprogram it with data from a working part. 2.) You may use an existing flash rom as a master and transfer the data into another flash rom. 3.) You may take any existing flash rom and save the contents to a disk file. This disk file can then be used as a source to create duplicate or replacement parts. With this capability you do not need to use a copy machine as a programmer or purchase new flash roms if existing parts are available. Simply read the data from a new part then program a part you already have. All adapters include specific instructions on how to perform reading, programming and saving operations. The Canon kit includes software specific to Canon copiers. This software release simplifies system operation as it is designed specifically to address Canon flash rom parts. EPROM+ PROGRAMMING SYSTEM (#AR-32A) The EPROM+ programming is the basic instrument on which all reading and programming operations are performed. The EPROM+ is required unless you select the EPROM FIELD KIT. 5 VOLT CANON FLASH ROMS (Requires #AC8B72 adapter) 5 Volt Canon flash roms were the first generation parts used in earlier families of Canon copy machines. You can identify a 5 volt flash by the part numbers printed directly on the chip (photo). Part numbers supported by this adapter are the 29F040, 29F080 and 29F016. Flash roms are erased electrically and do not require the D_ERASE eprom eraser or EPROM field kit. LOW VOLTAGE CANON FLASH ROMS (Requires #ACDM72A adapter) Low voltage Canon flash roms are found in the most recent copy machines including the Image Runner. These flash roms can be identified by the part numbers printed directly on the chip (photo). Part numbers supported by this adapter are the 29LV400, 29W400, 29LV800, 29W800, 29LV160, 29W160, 29LV320 and 29W320. Low voltage flash roms are erased electrically and do not require the D_ERASE eprom eraser or EPROM field kit.

SHARP COPIER KIT The Sharp copier kit is a customizable solution for technicians and field service personel. From the items listed below choose the specific options which address the type of machines you must support. You may choose to support products with the latest flash roms or also include older copy and fax machines with UV eproms. Simply select the items you wish to include in your kit. The system also supports the flash roms used in the color digital copiers including the OPE, PCU, ICU and Print Controller assemblies. This allows you to update flash roms without using a copy machine as a programmer plus you may reprogram existing or corrupt flash roms. All adapters include specific instructions on how to perform reading and programming operations. Both the EPROM field kit and EPROM+ system include the latest release of software on Bootable CD.

The unique feature of the field kit is that the package includes the D_ERASE eprom eraser which is powered by the programming unit and stores in the field kit case.
