| BUSINESS MACHINES |
Andromeda Research has been a supplier of programming equipment for business machine maintenance and support for more than a decade. The EPROM+ package provides a proven solution to address the needs of business machine technicians who must support a wide variety of copy and fax machines. The system is capable of supporting all standard eproms plus offers specific options for SHARP and CANON boot and flash roms. The EPROM+ is extremely easy to use and allows you to download machine updates from a manufacturer's website (such as SharpNet) and directly program your part. If you are new to programming your own eproms, we offer a list of suggested equipment based on our experience supplying business machine dealers. Below is a list of the items we recommend to address your needs based on machine manufacturers you support. (Comments from business machine customers)
| The Canon boot rom and flash rom copier
kits offer support for the flash roms used in many Canon
copiers. The kits include one or two adapters depending
on the machines you support. KIT#1 includes just the
ACDM72A adapter which allows you to work with the most
recent machines, including the Image Runner, while KIT#2
includes both the ACDM72A and the AC8B72. The AC8B72 adds
support earlier generations of Canon boot and flash roms.
Regardless of whether you need one or both adapters, the
Canon kits allow you to perform any operation you choose
on these unique parts including: 1.) You may take a corrupt flash rom, erase it and then reprogram it with data from a working part. 2.) You may use an existing boot or flash rom as a master and transfer the data into another flash rom thereby changing the function. 3.) You may take any existing flash rom and save the contents to a disk file. This disk file can then be used as a source to create duplicate or replacement parts. With this capability you do not need to use a copy machine as a programmer or purchase new flash roms if existing parts are available. Simply read the data from a new part then program a part you already have. All adapters include specific instructions on how to perform reading, programming and saving operations. The Canon boot rom and flash rom kit includes software specific to Canon copiers. This software release simplifies system operation as it is designed specifically to address Canon flash rom parts. Both the Canon software and standard EPROM+ software are included on Bootable CD with the kit. (Read customer comment) |

| Canon copy machines incorporate one of two counter assembly options, serial memory technology devices and parallel memory technology devices. Each counter memory technology requires a unique interface solution. Serial memory assemblies (directly below) require the CTR8S interface package. This package includes the in-circuit serial eeprom adapter plus the surface mount clips and probe set required to connect to the actual memory part. Parallel memory assemblies (see below) require the ASOIC28/LV clip and interface to attach to the 28 pin surface mounted part. Both adapters support standard voltage eeproms plus low voltage FERRO-ELECTRIC rams. If your application includes working with Canon copier counter assemblies you may choose from the interface options below. . With the either choice (CTR8S or ASOIC28/LV), plus the standard EPROM+ system and software, you have the ability to read, examine, edit, save and reprogram the information contained in the counter chips. | ||||
