| COMPARE DEVICE WITH BUFFER |
![]() |
| This command allows
you to compare the contents of the device installed in
the programming unit with the contents of the buffer.
After the comparison has been performed, the number of
non-matching locations will be displayed. You are given
the option of viewing each non-matching location with
both the buffer and device data displayed. Command Options 1. User defined start address - This option allows you to define where in the buffer you wish the comparison to start. In its primary form the comparison will originate at buffer address 0. 2. Compare device in series - This option allows you to compare a single device with the buffer based upon its position in a series of devices. Example: Assume you have loaded a file which contains data from four sequential 2764 eproms. You wish to determine if the third 2764 in the series matches the data in the file. Using this option you specify that device number 3 be compared with the buffer. The system will automatically calculate the proper buffer starting address to use when performing the comparison. |
