SAVE DEVICE TO DISK FILE
save device to disk file
This command allows you to save a single device or series of devices directly from the socket on the programming unit to a disk file. You simply insert the device, specify or recall a filename and instruct the system to save. The device contents are immediately logged to your file. The primary purpose of this command is a simplified method for archiving parts. Using this command eliminates the multi-step process of reading a device or series into the buffer and then saving the buffer to a file. If you need to save more than one chip, the command has an option which allows you to specify that you wish to save a series of devices. To save a series you simply enter the number of devices you wish to save and the system will request that you insert each device. As each device is inserted, the system will sequentially append the device data to your file.
