If you are a person with technical and assembly skills, this page lists items you may find of interest. We have always provided complete technical information with our products including schematic diagrams for the programming hardware plus diagrams for all optional technology family adapters. This gives customers, who choose to do so, the ability to maintain their system after warranty and construct any of the optional adapters themselves.

As many of our customers are interested in overall system cost, we now offer our most popular technology family adapters as bare circuit boards with assembly diagram and parts list. If you choose, you may now save by building an adapter yourself using the factory original PC board. You acquire the parts and do the construction. Note that all of our products are designed to use only easy-to-find parts. There are no unusual or custom parts of any kind.

Below left is the photo of an assembled A875X adapter. To the right is the assembly drawing and parts list which is supplied if you purchase the bare board. Note that any additional addendum materials included with an assembled adapter are also included with the bare board package.

This adapter supports the 874X family of microcontrollers. Members of this family include the 8741, 8742, 8748 and 8749. This adapter also supports reading of mask rom parts such as the 8041, 8042, 8048 and 8049. Data from mask rom devices may be read and then programmed into an equivalent 874X family member.

This adapter supports all members of the 875X, 87C5X, 87C5XX and 89C5X family of microcontrollers from any manufacturer. It also supports the latest flash microcontrollers from ATMEL and the DS87C520 from DALLAS.

This adapter supports all members of the Microchip PIC family of microcontrollers. These include the 12CXXX, 12FXXX, 16C5X, 16CXXX and 16FXXX devices. All device package sizes from 8 through 40 pins are supported.

This adapter supports all 40 PIN eproms. These include parts like the 27C1024, 27C2048 and 27C4096 plus any other equivalent parts from any manufacturer.

This adapter supports all 8 pin serial EEPROMs. Serial EEPROMs include families like the 93XX, 93CXX, 24XX, 24CXX, 25XX, 25CXX, 35CXXX , 85XX, 85CXX, 80011A, and 95XXX from any manufacturer. This adapter also supports the 17CXX family of FPGA configuators from ATMEL.

This adapter supports all 82SXXX and 74SXXX bipolar proms (16 through 24 pin). Bipolar proms are special high speed memory devices which program by blowing internal microscopic fuses. The circuitry on the adapter generates the high voltage, high current signals necessary to sucessfully blow the desired fuses in the device's memory array.
