This information is provided to assist anyone outside the domestic United States in creating and submitting an order for products sold by Andromeda Research Labs. Also included are answers to certain technical issues regarding the EPROM+ programming system, BIOS BACKUP and REPAIR KIT plus the EPROM FIELD KIT.

HOW TO PLACE YOUR INTERNATIONAL ORDER (What you need to do and what we do)

STEP 1 - Send us an email with these three (3) items:
1. The exact address where the package will be delivered including your NAME, STREET ADDRESS or P.O. BOX, POSTAL CODE and COUNTRY.
(NOTE: This should be provided exactly as it must appear on the package shipping label for proper delivery.)
2. A daytime telephone number and the name of a contact person. These are required for the export documentation.
3. A list of the item or items you wish to purchase. (We need this list to determine the weight of the package.)
(NOTE: If you have a preferred shipping carrier (UPS, DHL, etc.) please specify your choice). (UPS is our primary carrier.)

STEP 2 - We respond.
After we receive your email, we will determine the shipping charge to deliver the package to your destination and send you an email which lists the amount.
STEP 3 - You place your order.
When you receive our return email, you will now have the information necessary to place your order. Andromeda Research offers several options for placing your international (outside the domestic US) order. You may do so ON-LINE (see below), with our SECURE ORDER FORM or by FAX.
You may also request that we email an ELECTRONIC INVOICE which you may pay using a credit card or from a PayPal account.

ON-LINE ORDER PROCEDURE (International) - You may place your order ON-LINE by clicking any of the select for on-line purchase links, however you must add the additional shipping charge (STEP 3 above) for delivery to your destination outside the United States. This is done from this link (add international shipping). This link is also located at the top of the Product Purchase Selector page.

International payment options - International customers are provided four payment options from which to choose.
CREDIT CARD - Andromeda Research accepts the following credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS.
If you pay by credit card we require the card number, card holder's name, card expiration date and card billing address. Credit card information may be delivered by fax (513/831-7562) or phone (513/831-9708).

ELECTRONIC INVOICE - You may request that we email an ELECTRONIC INVOICE for the items you wish to purchase. The ELECTRONIC INVOICE is a secure service provided by PayPal. You may pay the invoice on-line using any credit card accepted by PayPal or from a PayPal account. The ELECTRONIC INVOICE is completely safe and processed by the encrypted security of the PayPal system.

PAYPAL - Andromeda Research accepts payment via the PayPal payment service and is a PayPal verified business member.

ELECTRONIC FUNDS (WIRE) TRANSFER - You may forward payment via electronic funds or wire transfer. Please note that there is a $20.00 fee assessed by FEDWIRE to perform the service. This must be added to the transfer amount. Please contact us via email regarding the items you wish to order. This allows us to calculate the total amount of your order including shipping.

PREPAY WITH BANK DRAFT OR CHECK - You may also forward a bank draft or check payable in US$. Please contact us via email regarding the items you wish to order. This allows us to calculate the total amount of your order including shipping. Be sure you send the payment using a signature required trackable carrier or service such as registered or certified mail. The address to which payment may be sent is:

Note: We will accept Purchase Orders from multi-national companies with offices in the domestic United States. A signed purchase order and credit references must be provided.

International shipping options - We prefer to ship international orders by United Parcel Service (UPS) Air Express or Air Expedited although other carriers are available. UPS provides customs brokerage as part of their delivery service. If you prefer a lower cost option, we can also ship via Express Mail. This service provides the most rapid delivery for the lowest cost. Express Mail service is available in most countries with a typical shipping cost between $30 and $40. We can also ship via most other carriers including Federal Express and DHL.

Normal delivery time for international shipments is 3 to 7 business days for items purchased from stock.

EPROM+ programming unit power requirements - The programming unit may be powered from any 12 volt AC (+/- 10%), 1 Amp, 50/60 Hz source. The programming system is normally shipped with the US domestic (120 volt 60 Hz) power pack, however, at your request, we will omit the power pack and replace it with a cable with the 3.5mm plug for the programming unit. With this cable you may connect your own 12 volt AC source. Since the connector on the programming unit is a standard 3.5mm jack, you may easily obtain a power pack which has the physical and electrical characteristics required by the programming unit and mates to the power mains used in your country.
Note 1: The BIOS BACKUP and REPAIR KIT and the EPROM FIELD KIT are based on the EPROM+ programming unit assembly and have the same power requirements.
Note 2: The EPROM FIELD KIT includes a UV EPROM ERASER which is powered by a cable which attaches to the accessory connector on the programming unit. The eraser will function properly as long as the programming unit is powered by the specified input voltage. This allows international customers to operate both the programming unit the eraser from a single power source.
Note 3: 12 VOLT DC operation. The programming unit may also be powered from 12 volts DC at 1 amp with the following restriction. The instrument will not generate the high voltage necessary to program UV eproms (27 series devices). The high voltage is generated using a voltage multiplier which requires AC to function. If the devices with which you are working are newer technology which operate from 5 volts or less, you may power the instrument from a 12 volt DC source. The power plug tip is positive (+), however incorrect polarity will not damage the unit.

EPROM+ programming unit physical characteristics - The programming unit weighs approximately 3 pounds including the power pack and printer port cable. The physical dimensions are 9 inches (length) by 6 inches (width) by 3 inches (height). The physical dimensions for the EPROM FIELD KIT are 9 inches (length) by 6 inches (width) by 3.5 inches (height). Weight is 4 pounds.
