The EPROM+ system is an excellent choice on which to base or enhance an electronics, microprocessor or embedded controller program. The system not only supports the latest technologies but the software allows the student to directly interact with the part on which the program is based. If you choose the Motorola 68HC11, the EPROM+ system with the optional ACOM1 adapter actually forms a complete program test and development system. The student can create and upload a program directly into the processor while in-circuit thereby immediately observing the resulting program operation. The system also supports the popular PIC family of processors plus the latest 89C5X flash controllers based on the established 8051 core. The students may load, view and edit programs and data using the system's editor. The system also automatically identifies and loads files in the Intel Hex or Motorola S-Record formats. The EPROM+ is packaged in a portable case which allows the programming instrument to be closed and stored without losing any extra cables or parts. This is ideal for electronic labs where the instruments can be shared by students and then stored when the lab ends.

CUSTOMER COMMENT - As the chair of a small ECE department, I look for engineering tools that are easy to learn and to use, are effective, and are low cost.  I found the EPROM+ to fit the bill - not only was I able to use it right out of the box, but with a minimum of tutoring on my part my students have found it to be easy as well.  The faculty has a wide ranges of uses for this system, ranging from teaching freshmen how to burn ROM chips to programming embedded controllers for use in our research.  I really appreciate this product.
