Trade up from a Model 28 programmer

The Model AR-28 programmer was the first product manufactured by AndraTech (name changed to Andromeda Research in 1992). You can identify this unit by the 28 pin socket. The model 28 programmer was designed in the early 1980's and does not support the latest high-speed programming algorithms. Due to physical limitations, the programming unit cannot be upgraded. Because you are an existing AR-28 customer, you are entitled to a $50.00 discount toward the purchase of a new EPROM+. To receive the discount you may return the entire programmer or just the board as proof of ownership. Please call or FAX if you are interested in trading up from your AR-28 to our new EPROM+.

Upgrade your Model 32 programming unit

The Model AR-32 programming unit was released in 1992 as the successor to the AR-28 and discontinued in 1995. It is easily identified by the voltage regulator and heatsink above and left of the programming unit socket. Although the physical programming unit is capable of supporting the latest chips, the power supply does not have the necessary resolution to meet the specifications for the most recent programming algorithms. Our goal is to always provide an upgrade path for our customers as long as the physical hardware and software can be enhanced. To this end, we offer an upgrade for owners of the AR-32 programming unit. The cost for the upgrade which includes installation of an enhanced resolution power supply, our latest software and a new manual is $119.00. Following the upgrade, your programmer will be electronically identical to our most recent programming unit. If you own a model 32, we encourage you to take advantage of the upgrade as it is much less costly than purchasing a new unit.

The time required to perform the upgrade is 1 to 2 days after the unit is received. Please call or FAX to obtain a return authorization number if you are interested in upgrading.
